Designers’ Duo Nara Papakaliati & Vaya Nikolakopoulou (NAYA Fashion Design) together with Anna Moraitou (Anna Moraitou Design) seek for innovative concept while working on wooden inspirations. They went beyond the standard of classic fashion and introduce structures of modern industrial design.
As a result, wooden designs transform into new forms and shapes. What is more, the patterns are not printed on fabrics but created by the texture of the materials they use.
This experimental project was initiated in 2015 with the inventive consequence of wooden clothes and accessories collection . The designers achieved amazing development of architecture relationship that is both – functional and fashionable. They took inspirations from the work of fashion designers like Paco Rabanne and architects like I.M. Pei. The use of the isosceles triangle along with an elementary geometric shape provides strength and stability in structure. The construction of the clothing is unveiled by several triangles connected together. They follow the curves of the body, so as to create a functional architectural construction.
