ANGELOS FRENTZOS: ETERNAL FLAME SS17 Woman Collection

ANGELOS FRENTZOS initialized a new era for his innvative, cutting-edge brand, getting inspiration from art, music and his very own design history. The main influence for the womenswear collection for Spring/Summer 2017 comes from a diverse mix of Gothic Romanticism that includes photographic moments of various flames , the sounds of heavy metal of late 70’s and 80’s and the power of roses as a symbol of beauty.

Frentzos’ design trademark is the interpretation of art, music, culture into contemporary fashion. For Spring/Summer 2017 he is building a new language that goes back to his original vocabulary, with strong graphics and rich, fragile silk embroideries, words, phrases, lyrics in order to elevate Frentzos’ streetwear. The forms of the collection are based on contradictions. Tailored vs loose, oversized vs. slim fit, deconstracted vs. shaped. Angelos Frentos is refreshing time-honoured pieces like the classic trench coat with utility workwear details.  Unexpected fabric choices and fabric manipulation. For next Spring/Summer, a big variety of silk, fragile dresses in Gothic context, but in pastel saturated colors, may come from the TV series ‘Stranger Things’.
