ARCHITECTURE: The Research Pavilion at the University of Stuttgart.

The captivating design of the Research Pavilion at the University of Stuttgart recalls numerous possible connotations because of the characteristic shape. The spider-web Research Pavilion at the University of Stuttgart.1The structure resembles ramified cocoon, highlighted spider-web or biomimetic membrane in a semicircular form.  This self-constructed habitat was designed by a team of ICD/ITKE faculty and students. Thanks to the astonishing creation, the building attracts attention with the immaculate construction of carbon-fiber bundles accompanied with a translucent ETFE membrane.
