Yiorgos Eleftheriades is a famous Greek fashion designer known for his predilection for urban, structured and innovative designs. I described the whole concept of the collection in my article for TRENDLAND magazine. The main inspirations for this SS’11 show are built under the base of architectural inspirations and soft contrast appearing in materials, colours and composition. Even the folklore accent is presented in modernized way of leather broidery.
Soft architectual silhouettes is the main design feature for women collection. The menswear is based on the similar sources. The outfits are formed with the abstract combinations forming rectangular and trapezan shapes. The two main colour palettes maintain the idea of soft anthithesis of warm colours of caramel and tobacco, copper and bronze, lime and olive with icy-chalky white, pearl grey with black shades. The contradiction is visible with versatile fabrics where silk georgette, fine viscose, muslin, and voile is juxtaposed with fine leather and cotton.
